What is the significance of nutraceuticals?

Nutraceuticals and nutritional/dietary supplements
Nutraceuticals contain antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties without a doubt. Nutraceuticals are more than just dietary supplements. The appeal of nutraceuticals, in theory, stems from the ability to achieve treatment goals while avoiding side effects. However, the distinction between nutraceuticals and nutritional/dietary supplements is subtle.
A vitamin, mineral, herb, or other plant-based chemical used to supplement your total dietary intake is referred to as a dietary supplement. In their natural state, dietary supplements are not whole foods.
Nutraceuticals are dietary supplements that provide a concentrated form of a component that isn’t found in food but was developed from it. Soy protein, for example, is a dietary supplement.
Dietary supplements and nutraceuticals play an essential part in alternative care when used with correct guidance and consultation.
